Sorry to beat a dead horse all, but have searched the forum and archives a number of different ways to find out the correct casting number for a C1 fuel injection right hand manifold. Can anyone in the group verify the right number? Thanks.

Re: C1 fuel injection RH exhaust manifold
Thanks Dennis. I've read the JM guidance a number of times and I don't think that it reads clearly. It says, "3749965 - Left-Hand; 3750556 - Right Hand; and, 3732498 Right-hand ('58 FI possible)" So specifically, my question is, which casting number is correct for a 1960 FI right hand exhaust manifold, 3750556 or 3732498?Keith MacRae

According to the NCRS Spec Guide - Right Hand:
The '498 = Early 1958 FI (possible)
The '556 = All Engines
Of course, choke hole drilling/non drilling on FI must be considered as part of the package.

Re: C1 fuel injection RH exhaust manifold
Thanks mucho Dennis - '556 it is then. Still don't quite understand what year the '498s are found on other than 1958 FIs possibly.

Yeah Keith, I'd head for a non drilled '556 (FI application) and be a happy camper. Of course, unless you are one lucky dude and have one in your possesion, finding an original is a tough, expensive nut to crack. I believe a pretty good one may be available in reproduction, but I would advise you have your hands on one before you lay down your frogskins...
I'm sure if you can fly a B52, you can read between the lines...- Top

Re: C1 fuel injection RH exhaust manifold
check out the junkyards for chevy trucks of the 57-60 variety. need to be a 1 1/2 ton or more critter to get the non-drillled for choke right hand 57 fi manifold. figure on about 500 frogs for an original unless your junkyard trip is successful.. the repo's are discernaby different than the originals.mike- Top
