Appliance parts houses sell this tool. Service mean use it for the hoses on the washing machines. Very common tool.

This tool is still available from Kent-Moore, supplier of GM special tools for almost as long as GM has been in business.

My dad ran a garage and service station for a number of years. When he retired I received a lot of his tools. One of the tools was the one being described. Made by Snap On. My cost was zero. But more importantly, when I now use it on rare occasion -and other tools that were given to me - I am reminded of him. Since he has passed away, this is part of what owning and working on my '65 roadster makes the Corvette "experience" special to me.

Noel - Thanks for expressing somehing I frequently experience, but hadn't yet surfaced in my conciousness! Ever since merging my dad's tools into my workshop when my mother died in '06, I find myself intentionally trying to use one of his tools whenever possible. It makes me feel close to him even though it's been 14 years since he passed away.

            Regards,
            Bob S.
