Q. re 1974 Vert Rear Deck Release Rod
This is the rod that connects the deck lid latch control to the rear bow lock lever. I have never owned a C3 convertible before and that rod is not in place at the moment so I have no point of reference. An AIM has been ordered but it is lost in the bowels of a post office somewhere.
The rod has two nuts and a lock clip. What is the sequence of installation? Install inner nut on rod, push threaded shaft through latch control with clip grabbing same, then tighten up with second nut (dab of LocTite) and snap clip on shaft of rod? Is that close? Anyone have a pic?
