    C1 Front end Aluminum shims

I'm about to put the front end back in my 61. The original aluminum shims that go between the front crossmember and the frame are very corroded. i've got some replacements. Any advice on installation or adjustment? Jerry

No adjustment, just install them. I believe a Zora item to increase caster, so install them accordingly - thin to front - thick to rear... DC

Jerry, my shims had lots of little cracks in them when I pulled the front end apart. Even if the old ones look just corroded, I think you are going in the right direction to replace them.

Jerry, If it gives you a warm fuzzy feeling, spray a coat of flat clear on them before install. That should slow the aluminum corrosion gremlins down a bit.
