69 Trim Tag question
I am looking at an early 69 car vin #5661 with a loose trim tag build date C25 zq4 900 . Does this tag belong to this car going by this info?

C25 is October 25th. Last car for October is 6272. The combo works for me

My VIN is 3678 with a C03 build date so it looks like your VIN/Date is correct. There are other componets with date codes that you can check and compare to your Oct 25th build date.
ZQ4 is Black Vinyl Interior
900 is Black ExteriorComment

I doubt anyone has a better collection of 1969 numbers than Ralph. It is best to believe him, but one day off seems tantalizingly close. Seems too close to be an accident.

C04 was a Friday and there were 742 units built that week.Comment

I called the owner of the car and asked him to double check the vin # and trim tag info.The vin# is correct #5661 the trim tag build date was wrong it is c23 trim is zq4 paint 900.The car is a 427/390 4 sp vert motor and tranny long gone.Comment
