61 Splash shield location
I need some help. I can't locate where the splash shields fit on my frame. It appears that the old holes have been sealed over. Any help?

wish my digital camera was working, but here goes, both sides are the same dimensions. From the frame extension to the body(where you have the body mount bolt) measure forward 1 1/4", and draw a vertical line. On that line, you have 2 hoes with the following centerlines. From the bottom of the frame, the first hole is 5/8" and the second hole is 1 5/8".
Mine doesn't appear to be tampered with and both shields do fit. -

there is another hole forward on the drivers side, but you can scribe that one after a fit check. It's about 9-10" from the others.

Install the shields. Remove the paint in the area the frame bolts want to go. At that point, the "picture" of where they were should become quite clear... DCComment
