I have a 68 L36 with single piont ign. and A/C that calls for a 1100750 61 amp alt. Problem is, its hard to find correct alt. with a probable date code. I found one with a stamp of 8 C 5, so with a March 8th trim tag, that gives only 4 days between dates. It is a Tues to a Fri. and they did hot shot some parts to St Louis but is it possible? Also the guy wants a bit much for a no fan and 20 yrs off the shelf rebuilt, $350. Wow.
I guess the price is not so much the issue as is the date to build tag date. I think the alt that I am replacing is rather rare 100696 42 amp 8 C 23 and can recover the cost of the 110750.
Dale, my apologies. I've been on this computer so long today I'm not paying attention. For some reason I fixated on '66. I'll check a Corvette alternator rebuild/restore source in Dallas and give them the information to see if they have any you need.
Dale, the alternator rebuild/restore place in Dallas, American Armature (relicreviver on eBay), says that they have a 7H14 and then skips to 8D25. Nothing in between yet. Will keep an eye out.
