1974 TIM & JG Gauge Background Color

I just received a new TIM&JG from NCRS on the 1973 and 1974 models. On page 19 Revision 1 it states the gauges should have a blue/gray background in both years. Is this correct?

The only thing I can think of is the lighting after dark may show a color. What I see during the day is white letters on a dark background.

The correct background was more of grayish black-real dark gray-not blue

I do know that their is blue plastic behind the speedo and tack. Their is painted blue metal behind the gauge cluster that may cause a blue tint at night when they are lighted.
