It looks great. Very nice work. I'm about six solid garage hours behind you in my '70 restoration. The only thing that jumped out at me was the finish of the control arms. It looks as though they're the same finish as the frame, although it could just be the way the pictures came out.

What's the finish of the bolts and clips for your fuel line? I can't make it out from the pictures. Thanks.
the frame and the control arms are both semi gloss. we did the frame but bairs corvettes did the control arms. the lines clips and bolts are zinc plated steel no stainless parts were used.

Picky? Yes. But isn't that what we do?
mine looks like the second one.

I don't have a picture, but others might -- pictures of this "marking" are pretty common. Most folks duplicate, or attempt to, what was on their car originally. We usually see orange paint on the top part of the spindle.

Mike, my frame is rusty like yours was. Did you do anything about the inside as far as stopping the rust? I have been wondering about that on mine. Yours looks great now. I already knew I would have to work on the pits on the outside.

inside rust was not a problem. not much moisture and water gets inside. we sand blasted then wire wheeled. then we coated it with putty to fill the demples. sanded and shaped and then primed. samded the primer and looked for problem spots. repaired the bad spots and reprimed, resanded. when it was dome we painted the frame. just like body work

You might want to consider using a self etching primer such as PPG's DP series before you start filling rust pits. Without a rust inhibitor you stand the chance of moisture getting under the filler and causing it to lift.
