    Vinyl spray for interior...

I have a few interior items that I would like to touch up so I was wondering what brand or type of vinyl spray would be best for this?

Are there any draw backs to using vinyl dye if I'm just going black over original black interior? If I do one panel will I have to do them all?

I had very good luck with SEM Flexible Vinyl spray. I also prepared the surface with SEM Vinyl Prep. The Vinyl prep is the true key to the ultimate bonding and finish of the spray. The vinyl prep softens and cleans the vinyl. You can actually feel the difference but always wear gloves to assure that you don't put any oils from you hands on the surface. Use very light coats as the instructions tell you. Stay away from what ever you are spraying. You can't afford to get a drip. I did my dash pads and they truely did not look sprayed. I never once lost a point. The picture You see is not the dash pads I sprayed those are original!!!!!

I agree with Keith, SEM is a good product. I also used the quart paint from the supply houses, Corvette America etc... that you can spray through a touch up spray gun with very good results. I bought the adhesion enhancing spray when I bought the dye in quart cans. It does help the paint stick better IMO. Cleaning the vinyl/leather is the most important part of the process. Good luck MikeD

I agree with Keith, the preparation of the vinyl is the most important step.I cleaned with lacquer thinner first than the vinyl prep than sprayed the dye. SEMS is a great product and "Corvette America Dye " I also had good luck with. Take your time and spray very light coats to avoid blotches and runs. My dashes have lasted 18 years and still look new. Good luck.

          Great! Thanks guys.

I'll look for some of the SEM spray and their adhesion promoter and I should be all set.
