cowl vent color inside

Micheal.....The research I did on my 59 said that the car's exterior was painted with the cowl vent wide open. This resulted in a screen that was exterior colored of course. And the interior of the unit was covered with overspray. So the vent opening shaft was not entirely black because the top of the shaft had varying degrees of exterior color overspray......Brad
