Hi, I was deducted for this on my 59....no ribs. Looking at it again, I see 2 ribs on the outside, one rib on the inside. The JM says 2 on the inside on the horizontal. I replaced mine in 1988 and forgot where I got them. I need the right stuff for my 62.
Can't be that big of a deduct to go through removeing and reinstall your windshield right. I'd leave it instead of breaking something or scratching the paint.

looking at your picture, it would appear the rubber legdge that ovelaps the forward face of the dash doesn't have the ribs that the original weatherstrips had. don't believe any of the w/s repo'ers have the w/s with correctly configured ribs. was looking thru my stash of w/s's the other day for the 57 vet i'm currently re-doing and i don't have any NOS w/s left from the bunch i bought from GM in the 70's. used my last NOS one back in the late 90's on a 61 i did then. if you come up with a repo w/s with the correct ribing, let us know.mike

I won't be changing it on the 59, just want to get the right one for the 62 project I'm on. By the sounds of it unlikely, unless I can "repro" the ribs myself somehow.
