1965 2818-1 Carb? Date Coded How Many Weeks Prior to Car Build?
AFAIK 6 months prior to build date for all parts. Sweet spot is probably one month prior to 4 months prior ...for a carb anyway. But on a 1965 assembly line...almost anything possible.

James,
The carb has to be dated prior to the cars assembly date. My '67 Holley 4160 List 3810 was dated 743 (April 3rd week, 1967) and my engine was assembled 0602 (June 6, 1967). Typical dates are a few weeks to a couple of months prior to engine assembly, but up to six months is acceptable.
