1982 blower motor relay part number?

Hi all;

I cannot locate my 1982 AIM and I need to identify a part.

I need the factory part number for the blower motor relay on a 1982 Corvette, base car with A/C?

I also need to know what aftermarket parts are the equivalent to the factory relay?

I have run into two part numbers. Can anyone tell me if the 82 AIM lists either one as the part number for the relay?

1. 463468
2. 453018

I see two different titles for the relay. They are:

1. Blower Motor Cut-Out Relay
2. Blower Motor High Speed Relay

What is the difference between these two? Is the just a symantics issue or are there two different types of relays? Which type is correct for 1982 Corvette with A/C?

The relevant page in my copy of the 1982 AIM is not of much help. A relay is shown but is not identified as to part number and no description beyond "relay". I'm sure this is because the page is stamped "NOTICE-awaiting layout approval"

In any event, there are 2 relays shown in SERVICE parts information for the 1982 application related to the A/C system. One is GM #463468 aka ACDelco 15-8168. This relay is applicable to 1979-82 Corvettes. The other relay is GM #14036273, aka ACDelco 15-8189. It is shown as applicable to 1982 only. Both relays are described as " hi blower motor cutout". There is no relay I can find which is described as "blower motor high speed relay".

The GM #463468 was discontinued and replaced by GM #89057581 which is now also discontinued. The GM #14036273 was discontinued without supercession in August, 2017.

Any of the above can be found on eBay NOS at reasonable prices. I believe that Standard Motor Products#2432 can be used, too.

Also, I can find no information that a GM NCRS Member Help in England? ever existed.

The last sentence of my post should have read I cannot find that 453018 ever existed. Somehow, the software changed it to "NCRS member help in England". This is the second time that something like this has happened to me. There are quite a few other glitches that make using the new board very frustrating for me.
