Has anyone found a way to reach this light without sliding the dash out on threaded rods which, of course, involves disconnecting several things. If yes, where did you start feeding your arm upwards?

It can be done with tiny hands. I can’t do it but years ago a mechanic at a local repair shop did it on my 66 without removing anything.

It can be done without taking dash out. I replaced mine from behind the dash.....did it by feel. It took a bit of pulling to get socket out of its location. Replaced bulb and pushed it back in. Takes a bit of patience but it can be done. - Fred😀 1- Top

Get 5….6 to 8 inch 1/4 20 threaded rods. Drop the steering column down. Pull the cluster down and replace the bulbs. While you are at it may as well replace all of them. If replacing all of them be sure to use the ( I think Delco) 257 bulbs. The flash rate is different than the China junk!- Top

I have done several over the years without removing the cluster. Patience, light, long needle nose pliers, two long flat screw drivers and the ability to lay on your back under the dash. (pillow helps)...and get back out!!Avatar--My first ever vette, owned 3X since 1977, restored 1993-2024. Top Flight Award 9/14/24- Top
