A couple of years ago I got a room at the Drury Inn with no reservations. Clean, cheaper than Embassy and about a 200 yard walk from the convention. A good plan B.

Have always stayed at Home2 by Hilton at 2000 Parkwood Blvd. Two blocks from the show and it's a great place to stay.

I second the Home2 recommendation. Nice rooms and right across the street from trailer parking.
