Hey Joe,

If you would, please let us know what you did to solve this situation. I had a slow leak on a water pump on my L36 and just replaced the pump. I have never been big on using gasket sealer but this may be a good time to consider using some.

Honestly no. It is possible I applied too much pressure on a cold system. I think the system s designed for a 15psi.

Fifteen psi is the maximum operating pressure assuming a properly functioning 15 psi relief cap, but test pressure should be higher. A radiator shop that rebuilt a radiator for me about 15 years ago said they tested the job to 30 psi.

For an on the car test I would limit pressure to not much more that 15 psi otherwise hoses could blow.

Think in terms of a submarine. Say normal operating max depth is 900 feet, EWO might be 1200 and crush depth is 1500.
