Gerry,
Just be aware that service replacement oil pans use a different gasket set than original oil pans. The front rubber gasket is thicker on the service pans.

I like the one-piece, but just be aware that longer bolts may be required because of the thicker gasket. This one looks like it has the bolts with it, so hopefully they are the correct length to get the pan mounted.
Just an aside: I still used RTV in the corners to add some extra sealing assurance.
I like the Mahle one piece. It's black instead of blue. Look at the second picture, it give you the Mahle PN depending on your oil pan. If you are not sure what you have, measure the front opening.
Some folks like the original cork, metal and rubber.

The original PRODUCTION and SERVICE oil pan gaskets had no metal core; they were just cork. Later GM PRODUCTION and SERVICE gaskets, such as the one you pictured, do have a metal core.

Harry,
Any idea if this one accepts paint any better than the blue Fel-Pro?
The material used with the F-P is such that I never have success getting paint to stick to it for long, and the blue color is then very obvious.

I doubt that there will be any difference in regards to paint adhesion. They are both silicone rubber and therein lies the problem.
