From initial inquiries, the 1969 MK suffix 427/400 tri-power + TI + manual trans) seems to be a rare occurrence in production. I have one and am hoping I can flesh out other owners of MK L68's here on the forum!
Background
TI Ignition was mandatory on the 69 L71 435 tri-power but an option on the L68 400 tri-power. According to the Corvette Black Book only 2072 L68's were ordered in 1969 but there is no breakout by suffix how many of each were ordered (see list of pre-fixes from the black book).
As noted - MK indicated Tri-power +Transistor Ignition and manual transmission.
Please let us know if you have a 1969 L68 MK. With your input, I will try to get a count to see how rare might be! So far I've only found one other with the 1969 MK 427 suffix.
Mine is a Nov 69 build with Vin ending 225 - Interesting to note that a member of the Corvette C3 Forum produced the attached production summary with a disclaimer that the accuracy was not assured - that said - the MK showed only 268 produced at the Tonowanda with the assumption that was total production including OTC and warranty engines ... so actual factory installed units is assumed to much much less than the reported 268.
