F-41 Shocks

I pulled the shocks off of my '67 since they were not the correct F-41's for my car. The rear shocks are F-41's and they have a part number of 4940607. From what I can find these are F-41 shocks for a '70, '71, '72. That's fine and dandy but the build date is
234--95. I can't find any information that these were used on a Corvette after "72. What do you think I have?

Simple. They are F-41 GM SERVICE shocks manufactured in 1995. So, they must have been installed on your car after the date on the shocks.

These shocks were available from GM under GM #4940459 (the part number on the box, not the shock). These shocks were applicable to 1963-77 Corvettes with HD suspension (F-41, FE-7). They are long since GM-discontinued.

Hi Joe.

I figured it was something simple. I searched the part number on the shock and had nothing but dead ends. The original box was long gone so it's no wonder I was coming up empty handed. Thanks for your help.
