Restorer Data Base?

Is there a published data base for Restorer articles to include the differences between spare tire locks over the years? Carlisle is only days away and I am trying to sort out the differences between the locks. My original 1972 lock fell off after I must have poorly secured it in the last few months. There is a wealth of information coming up with searches but I was hoping to be able to take a reprint of a Restorer article with me to Carlisle to replace my MIA tire lock. Can my original D keyway oval key be inserted in only "D" cars or will they either fully or partially insert into other incorrect keyways? That is, can I use my original to test spare tire locks to see if they are suitable for re-keying?
