Thank you Vinnie for the pics, and to everyone that contributed time and effort to putting this event on.
I haven't heard to the contrary, so I assume that everyone has arrived safely home.
I enjoyed this Nats immensely. The venue, the cars, and my solo road trip was one the best trips I've done. After so much angst and disappointment with my 92, it redeemed itself this trip with 8,303 total miles and only 2 very minor deficiencies. (A stuck EGR valve setting a code, and the wiper linkage had to be adjusted.)
This summer I couldn't attend an annual boating outing to Colorado River that we've been doing for 18 years. Yesterday, on the Westbound trip with less than 300 miles to go, I stopped at Topoc (In the pic I and my cocktail are in AZ, the other side of the river is CA.) and had the bartender make me an alcohol-free cocktail. I sat by the pool and looked at the girls, boats, and listened to the live band. So I ended my "Corvette Summer" with a dose of The River (which I also enjoy) thrown in as a bonus.
Dave...glad you made it home safely with only minor problems...but nothing that you couldn't handle...great view and wonderful description of your travels...see you in Frisco...always a pleasure to see and chat...
Vinnie
