I have a very original 1980 with 15,000 miles, unfortunately the previous owner replaced the A/C compressor with a aftermarket unit. I want to put it back to original, but I am not finding much info on what the correct model number is for a 1980 Compressor. Could someone provide the model number for me? Also if anyone has a CORRECT original unit, please send a picture or two, so I can also see what the decals look like etc. Thanks, Mark

1131198 is compressor model designation in Judging Guide. That number is also called out in 1980's Assembly Manual.
No photo of foil label in Judging Guide. Description is: "The foil label has blue, yellow, pale red (pink), and silver areas. The label has an imprinted code number which may be interpreted as follows: MMDDYS (where S=shift)".

Re: 1980 air conditioning compressor
Mark,
Here is a compressor from very early 82 production using the same part #, date format, etc. so yours should be the same.Attached Files- Top
