    C2 Corvette Floor Mats

All the Chevrolet Dealer accessory literature shows the 66 & 67 Corvette floor mats as being clear. I have a pair
that are reproductions. The D/S mat does not go all the way to the right due to hitting of the gas pedal. I seem to
recall that the common fix was to cut a slot in the mat so it would go around the bottom of the pedal. Was this true
for the original dealer accessories back then or only to the current reproduction ones? Thanks;Larry P.S. Yes I know
they are taken out and not judged when at a meet.

doubt any dealers went to the trouble of cutting original floor mats. I used to collect them and had 10 pair, none of which were butchered by dealers. mike

Mike: Thanks for the response. Had them in the wrong way; we are ok now and thanks. Larry

        Larry,

As far as I know the cut out was labeled on passenger side C3 original floor mats due to the larger hump on THM Automatic cars. All original C2 floor mats that I have seen are clear and have no cut out markings on either passenger or drivers side.
