Leak in the front reservoir of MC on my 69

    Guys,

I have noticed for some time a leak in the front left of my car that I had assumed was power steering fluid. I hadn't had a chance to look into it but recently got into the car to move it in my shop and the brake pedal went to the floor. When I popped the MC cover the front reservoir was empty. I filled it up again and am getting ready to look into where the leak is coming from and was hoping someone had some helpful tips. I did carefully look at the drivers caliper and it isn't leaking from there. Do you think its leaking from a fitting or could the MC itself be leaking? It is a new MC from one of the vendors I installed during my restoration a couple of years ago and the car has been leaking since it was installed, but again I had incorrectly assumed it was the power steering system and hadn't done anything about it.

First question - where is the puddle occurring?
    Look up from the puddle.

Any drip down the brake booster or firewall?

If you thought it was power steering, I'd suspect the junction area right above that.

Mike, you can take your finger and wipe the bottom of m/cyl. Fittings to see if they’re leaking. Did you use stainless lines when restoring? I know they tend to leak if improperly tightened. If they are stainless, try loosen and tightening a few times, each time getting a little extra turn.
