I thought it was time to give a really good review of a supplier. A few years ago the driver's side speaker on my 69 gave up. Because I wanted to save the original speaker, I had it re-coned locally. Last year I noticed that it was very distorted- it sounded awful. I decided to just get a new one. All the suppliers I spoke with were less than helpful about fitment, necessary modifications need to get it to fit, etc. They all eventually emailed me back to let me know that he speakers are made in China and had no idea if they would actually fit. Finally I got to S&M Electro-Tech. WOW! The person I spoke with answered all my questions and the best part was that the speakers are made in Minnesota and carry 5 year warranty. I ordered 2, got them in a few days, and installed them and they sound great (well as good as any 55 year old mono radio can sound). I highly recommend these folks.

Jeff,

I've used these speakers in a few cars including my own 72.
They are very high quality and the service is great.

The ownership changed a couple of years ago, so there was a bit of lag in supply, but I believe they're back at it full steam currently.

I agree. Bought replacements for my 69 from one of the main suppliers. I would have had to cut metal on the car to make it fit and it was what the vendor suggested I do. Not. Then I tried another local supplier and they had the same speaker. Ended up finding out about these folks. Fit, works and sounds great!
