Fellow NCRS Members,
I just returned home from participating in the FL Chapter judging event held at the Muscle Car Museum (MCM) in Melbourne FL. The purpose of this note is share the outstanding MCM venue ! The access off I95 is <1 mile, easy trailer / car access with multiple hotel choices minutes away. But that is likely true of many venue / location for judging events. This venue is special and clearly NOT your father's / grandfather's judging event of the past.
The MCM facility (123,000 sq. ft.) is immaculate, highly secure, with on site ownership representatives delightful and surroundings of some of most elite high performance cars located all in one place - at least it was for me. It currently has 60 Corvettes on display ! Using the custom search engine will reveal the specific models. I am aware of individual collections but this one is a sight to behold. The facility is not open to the public at large.
The MCM splash page states:
WE ARE NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC WE ARE OPEN FOR NON-PROFIT FUNDRAISERS, CAR ACTIVITIES, AND EDUCATIONAL TOURS FOR SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN
If you are considering coming to the event, I highly recommend you check this out as a place to attend as an NCRS member or enter your Corvette for judging. The size of the venue is as impressive as is the collection of the cars showcased at MCM. There are currently rooms available, slots for judging cars and close proximity to Melbourne International Airport. The MCM facility is immaculate, the cars are impeccable and there is also a host of family things to see and do in the area.
I stayed at the new Hilton Rialto about 8 - 10 minutes away. There is also a newly opened Hyatt to chose from as well. What a place (MCM) to hold an event was my reaction from this past weekend !
I strongly suggest NCRS members not miss this one ....details for registration are below
