No replies for a 69, but here are pictures of a 1972 survivor. Looks to be zinc.

Finish varies from light to dark so it’s difficult to say… I think that you would be correct in going with zinc phosphate, but I wouldn’t be upset if they turned out darker than what Leonard posted. That’s for the bottom slide…
The top slide is most likely natural (could be zinc plated, but I wouldn’t bet on it) which means you’re going to need to get creative if you plan on restoring them.
