Hi joe . It is leaking underneath the cap . Neck joint is fine .. it is possible I did shave of some brass when turning . If so any tips to correct it. Thanks- Top

Only three things I can think of:
1- Add a gasket to the cap
2- Try another NEW SERVICE cap
3- If the above does not solve it, have the filler neck replaced by a radiator shopIn Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

A tip for next time- spray the cap gaskets and mating surface with silicone to help it twist together without galling.
And as Joe mentioned, avoid excessive force on the neck. If the neck has a bend, I place a hand under it while twisting and pushing the cap.Mark Edmondson
