I have two (2) reconed C2 radio speakers, one has part number 466523 and the other 466520. Both also have the number 7282156 above the ink stamped number. What is the difference?

The 7282156 is the part number for the speaker in a non-A/C car. The 466523 and the 466520 are date codes.
Thanks for the reply. One of the speakers date 466520 came out of my unrestored June 24th built AO Smith bodied 1965 coupe with A/C.

I do believe that speaker was produced the 20th week of 1965. Please remember that the guys on the line did not necessarily use the A/C speaker all the time. That was part number 7282256.

Have not pulled the speakers in my 69 yet but soon. Curious on reconing. Did you have it done or someone before you? Do you know where it was done? Have read somewhere that reconing not a great idea...sound just won't be great or something? Alternative being find best replica.
