Re: 58 fan blade diameter
Brandon,
AFAIK the '58 fan is the same as the '57 fan - 17 inch diameter with curved blades.

Re: 58 fan blade diameter
Thanks Gary that is what I thought but I see several 17.5 fans on eBay that says it fits a 57-60 . My car had a after market fan on it when I bought it and I just want to make sure what size fan is correct.- Top

Re: 58 fan blade diameter
Brandon,
I have three 17" 4-blade fans with "straight tips" and six 17 1/2" 4-blade fans with "curved tips" in my collection that were removed from late 1950's and 1960's Chevrolet in salvage yards back in the 1980's.
My 1957 Chevrolet Parts Catalog (Mar. 1957) lists GM # 3739265 as the fan for the 1957 PASS. (exc. 8 cyl. C.A.C.) and is described as "(17 1/2 dia. - 1 3/4 bolt circle, 5/8" shaft hole)". GM # 3735314 is listed for the fan for the 1957 Corvette and described as "(17 dia. - 1 3/4 bolt circle, 5/8" shaft hole)". GM # 3704803 is listed for the fan for the 1955-1956 PASS. (exc. 8 cyl. with C.A.C.) and 1955-1956 Corvette , 8 cyl. and described as "(17 dia., 4 blades)".
My 1963 Chevrolet Parts Catalog (Oct. 1962) lists GM # 3735314 is listed for the fan for 1955-1960 Corvettes and 1955-1956 PASS. (exc. C.A.C., Cool Pack) and described as "(17 dia. - 1 3/4 bolt circle, 5/8" shaft hole)".
