63 SWC Silver Blue Code 912

Looking for a short cut to locating the best paint today - to respray the SWC 63 Silver Blue - at the moment she's red but wanted to put her back to the org colour - I know there are some paint experts out there - just wondering if there's a one stop stop, where I can go to buy and ship - and the colour is as close as possible. - as always any advice, comments , point me in the right direction, greatly received - Thx Keith

We just did several sprayouts in this color trying to match the car that is here.

While none matched the 4-shade repaint on this 63 (don't ask), the Axalta was by far the closest to the original shade. If I were going to go with a full repaint, that's the one I would use.

I always found that the Dupont (Now Axalta) colors were the closest match. Makes sense since they were the original supplier. The current colors were computer matched by formula so they are all off a bit. A few hours of tinkering with the formula a bit will get you right on!

Thanks for the feed back, on the Dupoint / Axalta - did you get a starting code number, out of curiosity ? and then you added to that ?

          Cheers Keith

Keith, Yes, Use the provided formula for the 64-4 Silver blue code. Have a shop do a spray out card, then adjust to match an original sample.
