Attached are 2 photos of a cigarette lighter knob that I bought at a swap meet years ago which was attached to a "63 CASCO" element. I've done some research on the web and I believe that it may (or may not) be can original 1965 Corvette/Chevrolet knob.
My 1965 Chevrolet Parts Catalog (May 1965) lists GM # 3861472 in Gr. 9.709 as the "KNOB, w/element (Casco)" for the 65 PASS, CORVETTE. The diameter at the front measures about 0.94", the "neck" diameter measures about 0.46" and the overall length measures about 1.37" (including the threaded stud).
Can anyone verify that it is or is not?
