    69 Blower Motor Capacitor Location

Can someone tell me where the capacitor in the photo below should be attached? L36 with A/C and AM/FM. The C60 AIM drawing shows the purple wire going directly to the motor. Maybe there's another drawing I'm overlooking. The fork seems to be wider than necessary to fit under a motor flange screw. Also the "fingers" of the fork have tips that turn down as if to assist in gripping whatever surface it attaches to.

Edit: I forgot to ask in the original post - Because the purple and ground connections are the only two electrical connections to the motor, can I briefly connect 12vdc (+ to purple) just to see if the motor spins up? I just want to be sure the blower wheel wasn't jammed when the assembly was reinserted into the housing.
    Thanks
    Mike

Mike, See UPC U69 in your AIM for installation. The capacitor is for AM noise suppresion.

Yes you can test the motor by connecting Purple directly to it along with ground. Cars without a radio option connect that way.
