I own an December 1962 car and need to replace the 340hp oil gauge and tube.
I know a proper replacement is reproduced.
However, the advertising is confusing and I don't believe 1/2 the information out there.
Can anyone confirm a reliable source for the reproduction tube and gauge.
I understand the gauge handle should be chrome. What about the tube?
I's it also chrome also on an early car? I am inquiring as my motor was fairly unmolested.
The correct gauge was gone but with no known reason to change out the tube.
I'm thinking it could possibly have been original and it was found natural not chrome.
But who know what really happened in the first 5 years as I have no history of that period.
I do know the history from 1969 however.
I did find Zip, as a possible source, with good pictures along the length.

Thanks in advance.
