Source for 340hp oil gauge 1963 car.

I own an December 1962 car and need to replace the 340hp oil gauge and tube.
I know a proper replacement is reproduced.
However, the advertising is confusing and I don't believe 1/2 the information out there.
Can anyone confirm a reliable source for the reproduction tube and gauge.
I understand the gauge handle should be chrome. What about the tube?
I's it also chrome also on an early car? I am inquiring as my motor was fairly unmolested.
The correct gauge was gone but with no known reason to change out the tube.
I'm thinking it could possibly have been original and it was found natural not chrome.
But who know what really happened in the first 5 years as I have no history of that period.
I do know the history from 1969 however.

I did find Zip, as a possible source, with good pictures along the length.

    Thanks in advance.

I have found that restoring trumps replacement every time. The quality, configuration and appearance of replacement parts are rarely correct. I honestly can't think of one replacement part that I've ever purchased that was visually correct. There are many instrument panel restoration companies out there that will do not only a complete panel, but individual gauges. Removing the instrument panel is a PITA so, you might want to consider a complete going over at that point on all the gauges.

If the gauge is indeed toast, there are plenty of NOS or used correct products out there than can be restored. As far as the tube is concerned, that would be the easiest part since you could purchase the tubing and reuse the ends you have. Bare copper vs chrome is a matter of referring to the judging guide or Nolan Adams book as far as what would be correct for your build date.

    Again, just my opinions.

Tom, I think Richard is talking the oil dip stick and the tube. He is miss leading when he says Gauge? I think Richard Fortier does reproduce the oil dip stick also, he advertising in the driveline, and says he gives a discount to members. The oil dip stick tube as far as I know should be natural.

Yes I was referring to the dipstick, not the one behind the wheel! :L)
GM references them as a tube and gauge.
I should have clarified as I know see where it's not clear at all.
I will check out the driveline for Richard Fortier's ad.
It's possible the one I identified in the Zip's catalog is Richard's product.
I have no choice on the dipstick as they are rare and a reproduction is the likely best option.
Still interested in members opinions on the chrome or natural tube.
        Thanks in advance.
