I would like some one that has a "62"that has been judged and has the right under hood paint margin, where the body color and black out paint meet, to post some color pictures of where these two colors meet. The pictures in the Judging guide on page 223 are not clear to me where the paint margin should go. Thanks for any help that can be given.

Re: Hood margin paint on "62"
Hi- Here is hood blackout on my 62- fairly early car (#1482)- I bought the car in July 1997 from the 2ond owner, who bought it in march 1964, when the original owner traded the car in on a 64 365 HP coupe. (I have maintained a dialog with both previous owners over the years),and it has not been wrecked or repainted.-Maybe this helps?

Re: Hood margin paint on "62"
Hello Mr. Storrer, these are really good pictures also. My car is an early one also {1339} and it was repainted at some point in its life, and was not done very well to say the least. This is why I needed examples of what is correct, so I can get it right this time. Thanks for the pictures.- Top

Re: Hood margin paint on "62"
Hi Joe, these are some more great pictures. I really like the color contrast and detail of the shots. All these pictures give me a lot to choose from. From looking at these pictures, it appears that there was no set pattern as to how the factory workers on the line did this margin. Thanks for your reply.- Top
