What application is this Fuel Pump for

As I recall the marine pumps did not have the holes. They did not want raw gas dripping inside the engine compartment. It makes a mess when it ignites!

I have an early removed engine out of a 59 Chris Craft cabin cruiser which has a 4657 Pump with no weep holes.
No other numbers just 4657 on the lip.

Difficult to see not in person but I wonder if the CF stamped on the lip might be a Canadian version for Marine use. It was a gift so I could repurpose it and swap out some pieces for my problematic current correct unit. Thanks to the responders for the input.
