75 Vette Headers
Any suggestions regarding an easy to install sets of headers for a 75 Vette. Dual exhaust already installed. Just trying to kick up the power without a total engine rehab.

I'll suggest that you already made the biggest improvement.
Tuning the distributor and carb will net you a bit more power, but unless you go into the engine internals I don't think you will see much improvement from headers vs cast iron manifolds, especially given the PITA factor installing headers in a Corvette.Vice-Chairman (West), Michigan Chapter NCRS

If you have a base engine they won't do anything because there's not enough valve overlap to capture the wave dynamics. Even the moderately high overlap L-82 cam doesn't have enough. The downsides (lots more hot area radiating heat, bolts loosening. burned spark plug wires... etc. outweigh the little benefit.

Bill if all you are looking for is a little more sound out of your engine I suggest American racing headers They are in Long Island New York. My son has put them on his camaro and his 2011 ZR1 PIA but they went in.Comment

My first Corvette, a '73 L82 with 4 speed, came with headers. Hated them- they leaked, radiated heat through the floor and kept scraping the ground. No noticeable change in power when I installed the original exhaust manifolds.Mark Edmondson
