Originally posted by Dave Perry (19643)That's great. There should be a way to comment on the entries. Similar to the forum method. Allow moderated, uncensored comments and dialogue. All comments allowed as long as they remain civil. Similar to the way the brouhaha in February was handled on the TdB. Put in a time-limit for comments, then they are closed to further comment, but remain as part of the conversation and archive.
The establishment of the contact/documents page is a good step in establishing BoD to Membership communications. Now finish the task with establishing an open method of Membership to BoD communications.
The party line of "contact your director" doesn't cut it. If an individual member presents an opinion, suggestion, or comment to an individual director, he has an audience of ONE. That isn't going to go anywhere. Present the same to an audience of many, and the reaction, acceptance, and commentary will be seen by the BoD as a body. That will go somewhere. ALL directors need to act on the memberships' interest as a body, not as individual directors.
This contacts/documents is a positive development. Thanks.
If you fear "contact your director does not cut it" then copy the entire Board. Each and every Director has the entire memberships' interest at heart. We are continuing to work on the logistics to a communication alternative to the "brouhaha". We continue to seek the best alternative to these communication barriers. If all else fails for your concerns to be heard.... call me at 513.310.2621 on my cell phone and I promise to discuss the issues at hand and to make sure your concerns are heard to your entire Board.

Re: Breaking Member News
Hi Gary... Didn't even know about that but I guess it isn't working too well seeing the gaps between posts.... It makes all the more sense to put it in a more visible and popular place...Frank

Re: Breaking Member News
And it is a good place to learn new things, now I know the 2024 National will be in Hampton Roads, I guess the same place as the 2013 one was, which is a great venue.Big Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top

Re: Breaking Member News
Michael, thanks for the 2024 National location news and to Shannon for the great link. After attending the Greenville Regional, having driven 750 miles round-trip with my wife with a fully loaded storage compartmented coupe with no A/C on one of the hottest days of the year, I told her that was my last major NCRS judging event for my Corvette. Now that I learned that the 2024 National is only 164 miles away from my house, I turned to her and said "guess what, honey ..."
Now I have something to live a few more years longer for !Bill Bertelli

Re: Breaking Member News
Good for you! Unfortunately, I was counting on a western venue for the 2024 National (given the usual rotation sequence), and Hampton is about 2000 miles away from me.Big Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top
