Doug - Been a while since I had a Power Window Motor apart but believe the basic motor/armature setup is identical. Might make your search a bit easier. Good luck.
Hello Doug, the part you are looking for is a brush retaining spring. There are several adds in the "Driveline" magazine for headlight motor rebuilders who would probably be happy to supply you with the spring. Long Island Corvette used to sell several headlight motor repair parts; however, they recently sold their business to Zip. You may want to give them a call and if they do not have the part, they probably can recommend a rebuilder that can supply one. John
Doug I know the feeling. I launched one a year ago and never found it. It was on a incomplete motor I had that needs brushes.
So.... The one that is left is yours, so EMAIL me your full contact info and I'll drop it in the mail tomorrow.
(funny, when I took it out of the motor earlier today, guess what, it launched out of my needle-nose pliers! Luckily I saw where it took off and I found it under the workbench.)
Thanks so much for your generosity. The spring is badly needed.
Mine flew off in the kitchen, somewhere. Wife and I spent about 3 hours looking for it.
Even brought a ladder in the house to look on top of the kitchen cabinets. It just vanished.
