75 L82 smog system what is TD7043137

HELP I am prpping my 75 Convertible L82 auto for flight judging, spring
On the passenger side of the carb is a gold cadium plated part marked TD 7043137 00352 3rd day of 75 shift 2?
I am not big on smog, is this the diverter valve or what The car is 20k mi very original, could be a replacement but who knows?
Mabie new JG might help ?

It's an "or what!" In automotive language the EGR valve or exhaust gas recirculation valve. The one you note is typical for a 75 L82 four-speed car. Which makes it interesting for an auto car...not that its not correct. But we also know that 75 L82s were not being shipped until March and we have found other build deviations from AIMs and parts lists.

Tom, When are we going to have the new Judging Guide out ? I have seen bits and pieces and it is OUTSTANDING

I have numerous deviations from "typically seen" on my car, if I got my car judged by a judge with the OLD judging guide he would have no choice but tear me up or ignore the JG I thought the 67, 70 and 95 cars had "not typical" items, in 75 they must have put together with whatever they had close on the assembly line

As soon as I can get the 75-77 TIMJG printed, you will be able to purchase one.

I have the same EGR valve (TD 7043137) with the same date (00352) on my '75 L-82/M-21. Body build date is F20.
