I know this info has been given before but I could not find the old post
I am looking for the part number of a Luk clutch assembly for a 1966 L36
I have been told by many people this is the manufacturer to use
Thanks in advance
Mark
Pretty sure the 1966 L36 used an 11" clutch. That being the case, the LUK part number for the clutch kit is 04-049 (aka L04049). 10.5" clutch for small blocks is part number 04-021 (aka L04021). Hopefully someone will chime in to confirm the 11" application.
I installed an LUK 04-049 clutch kit in my 67 427/400 two years ago. Resurfaced the original flywheel and installed a new starter ring gear. Sent the flywheel and LUK pressure plated out to get matched set balanced. No issues after about 2500 miles. Good pedal feel. I even used the throw-out bearing included in the kit.
