Re: Need Paint Code
For starters, an excellent article, by Tom Ames in current Corvette "Restorer" magazine. (Volume 48, Number 1, Summer 2021)
"Corvette Paint Options" on page 30.

Re: Need Paint Code
When my car was repainted we went with a single-stage urethane that comes very close to the original sheen of the factory without having that "Mop-and-Glo" "glazed ham" look. And of course the hood surround lip, door jambs, etc, were all "dulled down" as factory..
This even included the red oxide coat liked the factory used.- Top

Re: Need Paint Code
Hi Car,
Good to hear from you. All is good in Amarillo. Have lost several friends to covid though. I guess working on the plastic cars is in my blood. The only vette I have right now is a red 66 roadster. Do you still have your blue 67? Brad Cline owns the 63 split window. He used to live in Amarillo, but moved to Dallas. We are getting close to getting the body back in primer. We have the chassi finished.

Re: Need Paint Code
Don,
No Lyndale car is long gone but might be in Amarillo still. My oldest son wrecked it and I fixed it and traded it for an El Camino. Guy that got it was rear ended hard on drivers side short time later and last time I saw it was in a body shop across from Cadillac place on paramount. Guess Brad gave up on racing ? I remember his saddle '63 he had at WT, got to drive it to Pampa couple of times with Scott Baldwin. Also remember the original Dream Chaser. Still have my blue '65 and a blue '98 vert that I bought new. Last big NCRS event I did was National in San Antonio in 2017. Did a NCCC show here last weekend and got Best in Class for C2's. Did Brad's '63 come from Galveston? If so I know the car well.

Re: Need Paint Code
Carl,
The car did come from Galveston/Houston area that I know of. How well do you know the car. It seem to have been hit in the left front and some damage on the driver rear quarter panel. We had to replace the upper nose surround due to what looked like brake fluid seppage.
