Sorry for all the BS but you need is a series 24 Battery which will be the right size and have top terminals.

Wall Mart or many other Automobile retailers have charts that will pinpoint their battery size and availability.

I just purchased a new Delco Group 24 battery for my 1967 coupe. I ordered from my local Chevy dealer. Part # 24PG, # 88865263. it has 700CCA. It fit perfectly. Cost was $148 + tax including trade-in of the old battery. Yes, it will take a hit with flight juding but my last one gave me a 5-year service without problems. And it is a true "Service Replacement" battery and looks better than another aftermarket battery at similar prices.

Or you pony up to a DC12, that wahy you get what GM put in the cars.

Thanks Rocco. What I would like to buy is one that looks like the original with the yellow caps. Not sure which of the above batteries fits that form.

What about 'Battery Central Mall'. Their website indicates they offer a reproduction battery for your car.

Within the last year I purchased a SR59 battery for a Camaro- seems to perform fine.

I bought my battery for my 67 from battery Central
looks just like original and no deduction
Couple bucks more and he puts the date on

I just purchased a battery from Battery Central mall for my 63 340 HP. It took a while, but I'm happy with it and with Wayne's responses.
