Which Generic '63 Fuel Pump is best?

Is there a generic replacement for a '63 fuel pump for a 340 HP car? I am not particular about brand or numbers as this will be an interim replacement while I get my original rebuilt. Everywhere I have checked so far is either representing the wrong one or is out of stock. Norm

The Airtek 4567 equivalent will work fine, is plug and play, and what was on my split window for many months before I sold it.
The trouble is finding one... Times are tough rockauto, carid and summitt are all out of stock on 4657 equivalents.

My 4657 (which I just sold) you'll want similar clocking of fuel ports.

I just snapped this one up and will rebuild and resell it at some point:

Thanks everyone. I just got a "Loaner" fuel pump from a neighbor. It has to be re-clocked but it's amazing what you can find in your own backyard if you look hard enough. I have also been able to source a reputable rebuilder to send mine out to without having to do any cross border shipping so I think I am in pretty good shape for now. Norm

That's good then. There are a bunch of early pumps that can be recloccked as needed - there is even a "how to" on the topic (attached)

Thanks for that PDF Frank. I would have missed that one critical step of using a pipe to flex the diaphragm when turning. The couple of people I asked about doing it said it was simple and all you had to do was just turn the cover. Norm

No problem. That step is important to keep the diaphragm centered.

Many rebuilders miss the critical fuel pump rebuild step of fully distending the rubber diaphragm when doing the final torque on the perimeter screws which is guaranteed to shorten the useful life of the pump. I can't tell you the number of youtube "experts" that miss this step.

Reading the maintenance manual is always good!
And I also why I do my own rebuilds !
