Does anyone remember an article a long time ago about some late 67 small blocks with the pads ground out and restamped. I think because it was the end of production and gm had a short supply of motors ? I believe it was in the driveline . I'd like to get a copy of the article .
Thanks for any help !

Hi Paul,
I do not have a copy of this Restorer issue and therefore have not been able to look at the article, but maybe this is what you were remembering?
PS - this is from the Restorer Index page under Services > Publications > Restorer Index at the top of the TDB page
Yep, it's all true. My #22491 (July 5, 1967--see RESTORER, Vol 25, No 1, Summer 1998) 67 roadster has such an anomalous ground factory stamping. As Jimmy Gregg points out above, there are more than a few such examples (twenty-some?), which makes us owners of these cars not such an exclusive club!
