The Wisconsin Chapter people did a wonderful job with their meet. Unless you have done some of the jobs required to put on a meet you have no idea how much behind the scenes work there is. For those of us who just show up and partake of the comradery and fruits of other's labor the amount of preparation and effort is hidden. As Chris said: great cars, great people and good food.
Until Mike E and his band of marry judges came around to judge my car I hadn't realized it has been nearly 30 years since I had a Corvette judged. I had forgotten how much fun that is. Mike's post failed to mention that one of those C3s came to southwestern Wisconsin from Michigan and is on its way to Cedar Rapids -- a grand tour of the Midwest with a beautiful 1968 Corvette. We got to see the first time unveiling of 1954 #64 (I think I have that number right). It was presented to the owner after a several year restoration and presented for judging at the same time.
I also got to see parts of Wisconsin that I had not visited in longer than I care to mention. Great location choice. Another Frank Lloyd building for me to notch off my list.
The only negative I can find was the lack of Bratwurst, but the ribs and chicken more than made up for that.
Well done to the Wisconsin Chapter. Thanks for all your hard work, and now I have some work to do on my Corvette.
You are thinking correctly. Mike E speaks the truth.
All will be revealed in the course of due time.
I can't believe that Liz let you buy another piece of garage art.
Then again, it probably lives an hour north of you, so she doesn't have to look at it daily.

No it doesn't reside in the far northland that is an hour and a half from me when there is no traffic rush. That location is 90 miles away from me.
Liz had no say in the matter. The rest of that story I will spare the people who don't know my family and our interactions. This board is supposed to be about cars and their technical details. Marriage counseling is a little beyond its purview. However, if enough people think discussions of how to buy Corvettes and stay married is worthwhile perhaps we can start another discussion board someplace on the web.
Thought I would move this up again. Will ask again>Does anybody know how many if any cars where in the
"Concours Class"?? Trying to get info on this class has been a challenge for sure; not sure why? Larry

We had a seminar about Concurs Judging as part of the Advanced Judging School at the Hawk eye Regional that just concluded. There is a new revision of the Judging Reference Manual at the printers and it should be available shortly fol;lowing the National Convention. I expect it to be chuck full of information about Concurs Judging and numerous other information.
