    1967 pcv cv736c?

Thanks to input and to the TDB data base, I believe I have here a '67 CV736C pcv valve.
Horizontal machined marks, etc. Correct me if I'm wrong, please.

        Re: 1967 pcv cv736c?

        Mike,

Years ago I had a CV-691 valve that I took off a 1965 Chevrolet w/396 engine in a salvage yard in Chelmsford, MA. It was "solid", not stamped steel. According to my 1967 Chevrolet Parts Catalogs ( April 1967 & July 1967) the PVC listed for 1965-1967 Chevrolets models (396,427) & 1966-1967 Corvettes (427) (1st design) is GM # 6421981 (CV-691) and the 2nd design PVC valve # 6423695 (CV-736-C).

        CV-691 was replaced by CV-691-C (same 6421981 part #).

GM # 6421981 was replaced by GM # 6423695 in July 1969 as per Chevrolet Parts History for service parts.

        Dave

Orange tag was not a 691 valve tag...

691 tags were hexagonal and gray.

And the evidence is that by summer 66 they were not on the parts, so the stamped valve shown with t e orange tag would not have ahd a tag anyway...

Maybe in 65 and 66 they used a gray tag but in 67 it's states a orange paper label and PCV 691C along with CV-736C were both used in 67 that what i,am going with.
