help with center cluster wiring problem on 69

I am installing the center cluster to my 69 L46 and everything was going fine, until I got to the end and had one wire left that is unaccounted for. See (old) pic below. There is a capacitor (or something like that) on a bracket that is behind the clock. It has one wire with a tab end on it. You can see the end of the wire in the bottom right corner of the picture. Does anyone know where that goes?

    Thanks much,
    Rich

The capacitor near the steering column reduces radio interference. It's shown in the AIM in the radio section. I'm not sure about the cap near the clock but you might check the AIM.

I have a capacitor on the steering column from the original wiring harness. But this is in addition to that. I looked in the AIM under the radio option, and there is a picture showing something on the ammeter, yet the copy I have is too lousy to see if that is what i need. My guess is that it attaches to the ammeter, but I don't want to guess wrong and then have to pull the thing back out to fix it, or worse, cause other problems. Due to the length of the wire, I am guessing it has to attach to a terminal on the back of the gauge cluster.

        So I am still looking.

        Thanks for the replies guys.

          mystery solved!

The end (male/blade) of the capacitor, plugs into the harness (female) end of the clock power, which then goes onto the (male) tab for the clock. Makes sense. It's supposed to keep the tic tic tic of the clock from interfering with the radio. Tom from paragon support gets the credit for solving this one.
